Introduction

Mars is interesting. Mars is not just one of those planets that some scientists like. Mars is our future.
Mars is a red planet found between Earth and Jupiter. It has some interesting characteristics like Olympus Mons, the biggest Volcano/ mountain in the solar system.

What is Mars made of?

Mars is made of rusty iron dust and rocks of the same colour. It’s atmosphere is made of 95% carbon dioxide, 3% nitrogen, 1.6% argon, and 0.4% is traces of oxygen and other gases. Because of its atmosphere being humanly impossible to breathe, humans must wear special suits to walk on Mars’ surface.

When/who/how was Mars discovered?

Mars was discovered by Galileo Galilei in 1610. However, In 1659 Christiaan Huygens, a Dutch astronomer drew Mars with what he saw through his own telescope he designed himself.

Landscapes on Mars

Mars has both the deepest canyon in the solar system (Melas Chasma) and the highest peak in the solar system (Olympus Mons). Mars also has a few other amazing things, like it’s carbon dioxide ice, and it’s amazing Hellas planitia, 2,300 kilometers (1,400 miles) in diameter and about 9 kilometers (5 miles) deep. It is the largest impact crater on the planet.
Mars has hundreds of thousands of Craters, same as the Mountains, Volcanoes, And Valleys.

What color is the sky on Mars?

The normal colour of the martian sky in the daytime is a pinkish-red colour, however, when the sun is setting or rising it is a cool shade of blue. This is the exact opposite of earth. However, the day colours do change, to a butterscotch kind of colour.

Conclusion
Scientists want mars to be our future planet because it is one of the closest planets and it is big enough.
